Alebtong—13, November 2021: The Alebtong district LC5 chairperson David Kennedy (DK) Odongo has had names of his nominees to the district service commission (DSC) and the public accounts committee (PAC) approved by council.
In a council meeting held on November 9, Dr. Fred Nyankori (Omoro), Ben Obua (PWD), Jennet Auma were approved as members of the DSC. Rev Miltoy Ogwal of Aloi town council was also approved as a DSC member.
The council, however, declined to approve the DSC chairperson because of some illegalities.
Santa Ayo (Santa Angella) of Abia, Paul Odida of Apala, Samson Ocen Tibi of Amugu and Charles Angweri of Amugu were all approved as members of the PAC.
Kenneth Owaa O’Mara, the Alebtong district speaker said the November 9 council meeting was “so far the best meeting the district has ever had”.
He appealed to the elected leaders to take the public interest at heart.
Alebtong district chair DK Odongo applauded the council and the executive for approving new members.
“All approvals where done legally and this will help much in the development, such as the recruitment of staff,” DK added.
