Apac – 30 October 2020: The Akokoro sub-county local government has planned to buy a boat.
The boat is to help the people who use the road from Akokoro SS to Apoi-Onyan-Barkworo. Due to floods, the road is now impassable.
Mr Kizito Andreas the LC3 sub-county chairman of Akokoro, told our reporter.
“As a result of heavy rains the roads are now flooded but the sub-county is looking forward to seeing that they do something.”
Kizito said the boat will be ready by the next three weeks, it will be “28 feet”, he reveals.
He said the issue is an emergency this financial year, advising people of the affected areas to be calm and ensure they are safe.
