Inside Dan Matsiko’s presidency – 2021 – 2026

Team Matsiko Dan is proving to the country to be the most organised and grassroots based ahead of 2021 polls. Our presidential bid has been received by voters as the most credible and issue based campaign.

The ruling party is up in total disarray over Dan Matsiko presidential bid. They had all along thought Mr Matsiko and his promoters are mere underdogs in the race but reality is steadily setting in as they see our challenge as the most serious political fight since 1996. Mr Yoweri Museveni and his NRM handlers are restless. They have now resorted to issuing daily statements from both State House and NRM headquarters.

The fact is that Mr Matsiko hails from Ankole sub-region and so far he is the only potential politician from Museveni’s back yard who has shown interest in the highest office in the land.

Understandably, politics is a game of competing ideas for leadership. It’s a game of numbers and West Ankole has numbers where Matsiko hails from. East Ankole is a sparsely populated stretch of dry land with Lake Mburo national park and Ankole-Masaka dry cattle corridor.

Mr Yoweri hails from East Ankole with less than 2 million voters. Matsiko a relatively middle aged politician and a Munyankole by tribe will give Museveni and his NRM campaigners a serious run for their money in Western Uganda and Ankole sub-region in particular.

Many voters in the area are tired of having a Kingdom like presidency since 1986 to date where the president hails from one particular village Rwakitura.  Majority are preparing for the next president coming from Rubingo village, Kitwe parish, Kyeizooba sub-county, Igara, in the greater Bushenyi district. The most densely populated hot spot of western Uganda and Ankole sub-region.

Mr Yoweri Museveni at almost 80 years and Matsiko at 42 years, it’s going to be the hottest race ever since independence. New Form of Thinking [NFT], a political pressure group headed by Matsiko is the fiercest challenger for the incumbent Yoweri Museveni of NRM.  Look at some of the ideas for transforming this country the 42 year politician is suggesting. 

For instance, Matsiko Dan has vowed to close Luzira Prison upon being sworn in as the next president of Uganda. Luzira prison will be transformed into a modern Agriculture University with an army base located near the area and it will also give room for the expansion of Port Bell into a modern shipping harbour in East Africa.  A university, a demonstration school, an army base (Marine base) and a commercial inland port are more financially viable than a mere detention centre.

Convicted criminals will be airlifted to Karamoja in Moroto district to serve their time there. Others will be pardoned under Matsiko’s presidency 201-2026. We need few rehabilitation centres but many health centres in this country with the current trend of increased global pandemic.

Secondly, we shall give all with cash deposits in commercial banks to withdraw their money in less than 3 months. We intend to close all commercial banks for two years to ensure those keeping huge amounts of money in banks 

Use the cash to invest the money in employment generating projects. To help the government reduce unemployment to zero level.

We also want during the period of closure of mostly foreign owned commercial banks to help indigenous Ugandan owned banks to mushroom and grow. Plus, we shall support post office [bank], cooperative banks and Bank of Uganda will be made stronger in monitoring and controlling the economy.

Those keeping billons of ill-gotten money in commercial banks must invest their money, generate increased productive activities to help us scale down poverty and unemployment.

We shall also use devaluation to reduce inflation in the economy and also to get those hiding money to cause poverty and rampant unemployment punished.

Corruption. We shall stamp out in just six month of our administration under President Dan Matsiko. Supporting community initiatives against well-known corrupt officials will not be an option but a necessary policy. Even we shall okay well known disciplinary measures in each and every community for those who steal public funds. Such measures must include, assets forfeiture and also mob discipline! ‘Controlled community mob justice.’

Uganda is tired of thieves who steal from the poor of the poorest and get protection from state institutions. We shall allow citizens to discipline such thieves as NFT led government in 2021-2026.

Over taxation and doubles taxes will be a thing of the past in this country after 2021 Matsiko’s presidential victory.

On foreign policy, we shall allow and encourage formation of a continental army with headquarters here in Uganda to fight continental injustice and bad practices.

The army representatives in Parliament will be recalled, sent abroad, trained on management and development courses and later deployed to help the country build standard gauge railway lines from Busia to Kampala, to Katuna, to Kasese, Bulisa, West Nile, to Gulu and Karamoja plus Teso sub-region. The army will do a lot to help us in that wanting sector once trained and alignment to transport development and infrastructure expansion. No more men or women in uniform in partisan politics.

Agriculture, industry, education, health, defence and transport development will take the lion’s share of our budgetary resources and funds. We shall prioritize employment creation, education and health, plus regional balance under Matsiko Dan Presidency 2021-2026.

The NFT leader will only offer himself for two terms to lead the country and after 10 years, Matsiko will retire from active politics after giving Ugandans the much coveted gift of handing over instruments of power to the leadership elected by majority of citizens without any duress or manipulation.
