Omoro-A 25 year old man has been stabbed to death in Koro Sub-county, Omoro district this week.

Ajuma Mathew Oneka, the Local council 1 chairperson of Abwola village, Lapinate west parish identified the deceased as Amone Francis, a boda boda raider.

Ajuma tells TND News reporter that the deceased was waylaid Wednesday night as he was returning from Te-tugu market.

The local leader added that the incident happened at around 9pm when the deceased was approaching his parent’s home.

“He was cut with a panga,” Ajuma further says, alleging:  “Amone is suspected to have been attacked by Ocen pa Aboga, a resident of Abole village in Ibakara parish Koro Sub-county.”

Following several accusations from [the deceased] that Ocen has been engaged in a sexual relationship with his wife and threatening him, the prime suspect is him, local leader added.

Watdog Francisco Awori, the LC5 Councilor for Koro Sub-county to Omoro distric council says Amone died on referral to St. Mary Hospital Lacor.

Watdog says Ocen Pa Aboga was arrested and handed over to police at Koro Police Outpost.

The local leader called on the bereaved family to stay calm.

Attempt to get comment from police authorities as Koro Police Outpost was futile by press time.
