A 16- year -old pupil of Purongo primary school in Nwoya district was last night knocked dead in a speed and run accident at Purongo trading center in Nwoya district.
Police identifies the minor only as Opio who was rushed to Anaka hospital before breathing his last minutes after his arrival at the facility.
Aswa region police spokesperson Patrick Jimmy Okema says the body of the minor is currently at Anaka hospital pending postmortem.
Okema observed the cause of the accident could be over speeding and the vehicle that was heading to Arua could not be identified by the eyewitnesses.
“That boy was knocked by a speeding vehicle that was heading that side of Arua and since the vehicle was at a high speed no one could identify the particulars of the vehicle. The body is currently lying at Anaka hospital pending postmortem,” Okema said
