After getting involved in an accident on Wednesday morning on his way to Kampala from Lira, Charles Angiru Gutmoi, the Erute North MP is out of danger.
Talking to TND News on the phone this morning from Kampala, Joy Atim Ongom, the Lira district Woman MP said the FDC MP was referred to Mulago national referral hospital for specialized treatment.
After being rescued by good people, Angiru was taken to Kiryandongo Hospital, bleeding profusely.
“He’s out of danger now although he has a broken leg. Health Minister Hon. Ruth Aceng told me this morning,” MP Atim said.
Angiru who drives a Noah with registration number UAV 089G was driving himself when he had a head-on collision at Karuma.
The head-on was between a Fuso lorry registration number UAJ 730U heading towards Kamdini and his Noah car. It happened at 4:40 am.
His car was smashed beyond repair and he sustained a fractured leg.
This is the second noticeable road accident in May this year along Gulu Kampala highway in which many lost lives.
On Friday last week, Gaagaa bus had an unforgettable road accident at Nanda, Kiryandongo district in which 23 people died.
