Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo has reportedly lost her Police Presidential Guard (PPG) security detail amid a growing disagreement with Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) officials over the 2031 presidential succession debate.
The reported withdrawal comes after Namyalo mobilised youths who endorsed President Yoweri Museveni for another term in 2031, while PLU supporters have been mobilising behind Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as a possible successor.
The reported security change has not been officially confirmed by the government or police. It also remains unclear whether it is directly linked to the disagreement with PLU officials or resulted from an administrative decision.
