Senior Special Advisor Yiga Kisa Kyamukama has warned that Ugandan military officers, including senior UPDF generals, could face arrest if they are found involved in corruption.
Kyamukama reportedly issued the warning while speaking about the need for accountability and discipline among government officials and security officers.
He said nobody should consider themselves protected from investigations or arrest because of their position, stressing that corruption would not be tolerated.
Kyamukama further warned that even people working in State House should be careful and avoid corruption, regardless of their duties or level of responsibility.
He reportedly said that even someone responsible for making tea and chapati inside State House should ensure that they do not engage in corrupt practices.
“I was appointed because I have lugambo, I will expose all of you,” Kyamukama said, according to remarks attributed to him.
