The grieving Queen Mother of Tooro Kingdom, Best Kemigisa, has explained why the late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV’s child did not return to Uganda with the royal family after the King’s body was brought back from the United States.

According to reports, the child was initially expected to travel from Texas, USA, together with members of the royal family for the burial ceremonies of the late King. However, the plans later changed due to concerns surrounding the ongoing discussions and tensions related to the kingdom’s succession.

Queen Mother Best Kemigisa reportedly said the decision was made to keep the child in Texas until the situation becomes calmer, amid fears that bringing the child into a highly sensitive environment could expose him to unnecessary risks.
