Rotarian George Omoding, former aspirant for NRM flag for Dokolo South Constituency ahead of the 2026 general elections, has been named one of the top leaders in the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) created Lazima Cooperative Society.
Lazima, a Swahili word for “must have”, is a Cooperative Society formed by PLU members across the country.
Members can also benefit from government wealth creation programmes like Emyooga and newly established MK Funds.
tndNews, Uganda, understands that the regional coordinators’ roles “are purely voluntary and patriotic in nature.”
Omoding, identified with his PLU No. 4700, will be deputised by Banya Anthony.
As top leadership sources a substantive Lango sub-region coordinator, Rotarian Omoding is also currently acting for Lango.
Lazima interim leadership include Nahanga Samuel, chairman; Nicholas Otto, vice chairman; Bwambale Wilson, secretary general; and Aceng Ruth, spokesperson.
According to Omoding, Lazima aims for patriotism, democracy, socio-economic transformation and anti-corruption, among others.
