Media personality and actress Zubedah Byantalo has revealed that she turned down an offer worth shs300 million from Uganda Breweries Limited because she wanted to remain faithful to her Islamic beliefs.

Byantalo said the decision was not easy because the amount involved was significant, but she chose to prioritise her religious values over financial gain.

The actress explained that her faith guides many of the decisions she makes in life, including the opportunities she accepts and the partnerships she enters into.

According to Byantalo, she respected the offer but could not accept it because of her personal religious principles.

She said money is important, but it should not come at the expense of one’s beliefs and values.

“I respected the offer, but because of my religion Islam, I had to make a decision that aligns with my faith,” Byantalo said.

The media personality said some opportunities may appear attractive financially, but personal convictions should always be considered before making important choices.

She explained that remaining committed to her beliefs gives her peace of mind and allows her to stay true to herself.

Byantalo’s revelation has attracted attention from her fans and members of the public, with many praising her for standing by her principles.

She said people often face difficult choices when career opportunities conflict with personal beliefs, but everyone must decide what matters most to them.

The actress noted that success should not only be measured by financial achievements but also by the ability to maintain one’s identity and values.

Byantalo has built a name for herself through her work in the media and entertainment industry, where she has become a recognised personality.

She said her journey has taught her the importance of making decisions that she can confidently defend regardless of the financial consequences.

The media personality encouraged people to respect different beliefs and understand that individuals make choices based on their personal convictions.

She added that turning down the offer did not mean she was against the company or the people involved, but rather that she was following her religious guidelines.

Byantalo said she believes blessings and success come in different forms and that financial opportunities are not the only measure of achievement.

Her decision has sparked conversations about faith, career choices and the challenges public figures face when balancing professional opportunities with personal values.

Many people have shared their views on the importance of respecting religious principles, especially when individuals are faced with major financial decisions.

Byantalo maintained that she has no regrets about rejecting the offer, saying she made the decision after carefully considering her beliefs.

She urged others to remain confident in their choices and avoid compromising their values simply because of money or public pressure.

The actress said staying true to one’s principles is more valuable than accepting an opportunity that creates conflict with personal beliefs.
