Anita Among thanks Museveni, Muhoozi for granting her mercy

Former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among Annet has spoken publicly after months of house arrest.

Among was put under house arrest in May after investigations into corruption and how she acquired her assets, inclusion Roll Royce, started.

She would subsequently lose her speakership seat in the 12th Parliament to Mark’s Markson Oboth Oboth.

Investigations into her wealth, including allegations of misusing public funds, were sanctioned by President Yoweri Kaguta, according to his son, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is also the Chief of Defence Forces.
