President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed Justice Moses Kaziibwe Kawumi as the new deputy Chief Justice.
On September 16, 2022, at White Horse Inn in Kabale, Kawumi said goodbye to Kabale High Court circuit’s staff and stakeholders.
He was succeeded by Justice Samuel Emokor, while he was transferred to Mubende High Court.
In a State House statement dated May 14, President Museveni also appointed Agnes Alum as Chief Registrar.
The appointments are aimed at further strengthening the administration of justice and service delivery within the judiciary.
“The appointment of the Deputy Chief Justice has been submitted to Parliament of Uganda for approval in line with the constitutional process,” the statement concludes.
