National Oil Company (UNOC) hosted a delegation of 30 cultural leaders from the Ker Kwaro Acholi on a familiarisation visit.
The cultural leaders visited Uganda’s oil and gas operational areas to gain first-hand insight into the country’s petroleum developments and progress towards first oil.
The delegation toured key sites including Pump Station 1 in Nyamasoga under the East African Crude Oil Pipeline, Kabalega Industrial Park, Kabalega International Airport in Hoima, and the Kingfisher Development Area.
The visitors observed rig operations at Pad 2, progress at the Central Processing Facility (CPF), and ongoing EPC4 construction works.
The engagement highlights the important role cultural institutions play in community mobilisation, information sharing, and strengthening collaboration between the oil and gas sector and the communities it serves.
Prominent (photo) journalist, talk show host with Wan Luo TV, Pat Larubi, shared with us the photos from the engagement.
