The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Dokolo Barbra Akech, has called upon residents of Dokolo town council to remain vigilant following a recent break-in at the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party office.
The incident, which occurred on a Wednesday night, resulted in the theft of office properties, including documentation, tailoring machines, clothing materials, and uniforms belonging to Koroto government prison, which were brought in for repairs.
Joyce Etol, the FDC party office attendant, reported the incident to the LC1 of Akaidebe Cell and to the police at Dokolo Central Police Station for further investigations.
Tom Orono, the FDC office attendant, expressed concern over the loss of properties and said that the office was sponsored by Dr. Rosemary Alwoc Ogwal.
Dr. Alwoc, speaking to Dokolo FM from the United Kingdom, appealed to security officials in Dokolo to take action on the matter and investigate the unknown suspects who stole the properties, including the prison uniforms.
She expressed concern that the suspects may use the uniforms to commit robberies at night.
RDC Barbra Akech urged the people of Dokolo to report any sightings of suspected prison uniforms to the relevant authorities for immediate intervention and action.
She also warned that there are reports of a group of gangs arriving in vehicles from Lira and Soroti, colliding with local gangs in Dokolo town council to create insecurity in the area.
Dr. Alwoc, who has declined participation in the 2025/2026 politics and elections, appealed to the community to be vigilant, take care of their properties, and report any suspicious activities to the police.
