Favour of God Ministries passed out 51 graduates on Thursday, May 29, 2025, after completing a four-month intensive training in Bible knowledge and trauma counseling for people from diverse religious denominations.
Church of Uganda, Roman Catholic Church, Victory Outreach Church, Yahawe Pentecostal Church, Seventh Day Adventist Church, among others had representations. Out of that, 38 were females while 13 were males.
The ceremony took place At St. Peter’s Church of Uganda in Abarikori Parish, Agikdak sub-county, Kyoga North County, in Amolatar district.
The main celebrant, Rev. Martin Otwii of Agikdak Parish, Awelo Archdeaconry thanked participants for dedicating their lives to follow Jesus.
Rev. Otwii urged graduates: “Demonstrate exemplary conduct in your communities. Do not let this training go to waste – continue spreading God’s Word without fear or favor through trauma counseling across all denominations.”
Rev used the Ward James 1:22- 24 by urging them to listen and put to practice to avoid division.
Moses Olal, head of student Testimonial leader, expressed gratitude: “We thank the Favour of God Ministries for this training. We’ve gained extensive Bible knowledge including Bible survey, doctrine, life skills development, and children/youth ministry.
Pastor Ambrose Ojok Omara of Favour of God Ministries explained: “We call this a ‘Portable Bible School’ – empowering every believer to evangelize their communities. As facilitator, I’ve done my part; now our members and local communities must continue this work.”
Our ‘Portable Bible School’ empowers every believer to minister beyond church walls. I’ve fulfilled my facilitator role – now implement this knowledge locally.”
Chief guest Isaac Odongo Ekuu, NRM aspirant for Kyoga North County, advised graduates: “Focus on interfaith coexistence, preach wealth creation to believers, and prioritize household development.”
Odongo emphasized ethical conduct: “Be community role models. We must not tolerate religious fraudsters who exploit congregants financially – stop enabling such practices.”
The aspirant, gaining momentum for his 2026 bid, thanked President Museveni for Uganda’s democracy and endorsed NRM.
By donating over 100 chickens to graduates – each receiving over two– symbolizes his anti-poverty message. “This gift embodies our fight against community poverty,” he stated.
