The NRM party members in Myene sub-county, Oyam district have trusted Jane Frances Acilo with leadership positions during the recent structure elections.
Acilo, who has announced her candidacy for Oyam district woman MP seat in 2026, said of the trust:
“It’s a great honor to have been entrusted with the roles of NRM vice chairperson Arwotongo village, vice chairperson NRM Zuma parish, and NRM vice chairperson Myene sub-county.”
These positions, she said, represent more than just titles. “They are opportunities to serve, lead with integrity, and drive meaningful change.
“Leadership is about taking action, fostering unity, and creating opportunities for everyone. Together, we can make a difference.”
She added: “Now, more than ever, we need to unite and take action for the betterment of Oyam, and one another.”
Jane has been on the ground, ensuring roads across Oyam are rehabilitated, and has distributed kilograms of improved maize seeds to the Oyam people.
Speaking in Oyam town council on Wednesday where she was meeting her supporters, Acilo said “the youth and women are at the heart of my campaign”.
She briefly connected with a group of young people, engaging them in open conversations is crucial, she said.
“Through these dialogues, we can inspire and educate our youth to embrace vocational skills to promote their personal growth and long-term wellbeing.

“Let’s work together to build a future rooted in empowerment, opportunity, and self-reliance.”
As the Founder and Director of Abja Farm, Acilo’s campaign messages are focussed on agriculture, education; road, women and youth empowerment.
