Hon. Jane Frances Acilo has officially announced her candidacy for the Woman Member of Parliament seat for Oyam District.
This announcement was made on Wednesday following her participation in the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development held in Munyonyo, Kampala.
During the summit, Hon. Jane held a significant meeting with H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, former president of Tanzania and a well-known advocate for African agriculture.

Their in-depth discussion focused on the future of smallholder farming and sustainable development in Africa, highlighting Hon. Jane’s commitment to these crucial areas.
President Kikwete, who pioneered the Kilimo Kwanza and SAGCOT programs in Tanzania, shared this important message: “The key to good politics is being close to the people and building strong networks.”
He further endorsed Hon. Jane by signing her campaign poster, symbolizing the growing support for her vision and leadership.
