Jane Frances Acilo‘s initiative of repairing boreholes across Oyam district has earned her community trust.
The community of Ber-imwolo village, Ajul parish in Aleka sub-county, for example, have expressed their gratitude to their own Jane Frances Acilo.
Acilo is in the race to win the NRM party flag as she aspires for Oyam district woman MP seat in 2026.
She has saved Ber-imwolo village from the water crisis that had hit them and putting their domestic lives at risk.
When informed of the water crisis Jane Frances Acilo immediately sent her team to assess the problem. The team found that the constructed borehole needed some spares and major repairs.
The team returned with all the necessary spares and the water was fully restored to functional status.
Residents of Ber-imwolo were over excited over the support, praising Acilo for the motherly heart exhibited.
They pledged to give her support to allow her to do more for the community.
Jimmy Ogwal who coordinated Jane’s team said he is optimistic that she will be the next woman MP since she is having community in her heart.
Sandra Odyek, one of the community members, said they used to struggle with water problems but now they are relieved of the crisis.
She praised Jane for not forgetting to help the church and also supporting bereaved families.
Acilo’s support is increasing daily through her community support programs.
In her remarks through her representative, Acilo wants the community to move from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture.
Commercial agriculture, she said, will bring more wealth to the community. She has pledged to continue supporting her electorates.
