Rugby championship: Lira Bulls defeat Black Arrows

Lira | On February 8, Lira Bulls Rugby Club defeated Black Arrows Rugby Club by a thrilling 50-3 score.

The two clubs are currently competing in the Northern Rugby Championship for Men.

The Black Arrows were beaten on the Bulls’ Lango college playground.

Akera Kenneth, the Acting Manager of Lira Bulls, praised the team and attributed the victory to their tactics and well-structured game.

He also stated that the players displayed “all parts” while on the pitch.

Morrish Oruru, Jerald Okello, a former Doctor Obote College student, and Yita Ronny were among the Lira Bulls players who produced the win.

With the win, Lira Bulls remains at the top of the table, ahead of Gulu City Falcon Rugby Club.

The Championship includes eight (8) men’s teams: Lira Big Boys, Nile Scorpion, Lira Bulls, Omoro Kings, Kitgum Lions, Black Arrow, Griffons RFC, and Gulu City Falcon.
