Gulu |New members of the 6th Gulu University council include former State Minister of Finance Fred Mandir Jachan Omach, Pastor Joseph Okidi, and Jimmy Langole Bonny.
Langole will represent the university senior staff association.
Okidi, a former Guild President, will be representing the university alumni.
Theresa Mary Obbo and Rwot Richard Santo Apire were unanimously re-elected as Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Gulu University 6th Council, respectively.
Mrs Obbo served as the head teacher of Our Lady of Good Counsel SSS, Gayaza from 2004 to 2014.
The university says the 6th council is now looking for Senate and Academic Staff representatives.
The Gulu Chief Magistrate, His Worship Alule Augustine Koma, swore in all of the members.
Relatedly, the graduation ceremony for Gulu University will take place on January 24, 2025.
