With an impressive two-decade career at John Deere, where she served as Head of Data and Analytics, Barclay brings unparalleled expertise in driving value through data activation and strategic process integration.
At John Deere, Kira played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s data and analytics functions, building the department from the ground up. Her leadership spanned multiple divisions globally, including agriculture and construction equipment, making her a key player in the company’s innovation and data-driven decision-making.
As Kira explains: “I take great pride in having built the data and analytics function from scratch, allowing John Deere to harness the power of data across all divisions.”
With a background in mathematics and postgraduate degree in statistics, Kira combines a deep understanding of numbers with a keen insight into organizational strategy.
She is passionate about solving the often-overlooked challenge of data activation, explaining that: “92 percent of insights derived from data are never activated because they are not embedded in processes or embraced by people.”
In 2024, Kira founded Black Antler Advisory, where she helps organizations unlock the full potential of their data by addressing the people and process challenges that often hinder effective activation.
This approach helps businesses uncover blind spots, reduce costs through automation, and discover new revenue opportunities by monetizing data in innovative ways.
