Masaka |Brig Gen (rtd) Kyambadde, director of Training and Doctrine for Land Forces, and Brig Gen Fred Twinamasiko were killed in a road crash on the Masaka road.
Colonel Deo Akiiki, the Defence Deputy Public Information Officer, has confirmed.
“It’s been a tough week for Defence and UPDF,” he said.
“We just lost two Generals in an accident on Masaka road and a Minister the other day,” he added.
The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs, as well as the Uganda Police Force (Traffic), have yet to release comprehensive information about this deadly road crash.
Every day, Ugandans die on the roads. The country has the highest number of road crash fatalities in East Africa, according to available data.
