Lira | Thousands gathered in Atyene owe, Ayira parish, Bar sub-county, on Friday to bid farewell to Gideon Omony.
Gideon, who had worked for Radio Wa for many years, died on August 15 at the age of 45 in Kampala’s Kirudu Refeeral Hospital while receiving dialysis for kidney disease.
He also taught at Fatima Aloi Girls Secondary School in Aloi, Alebtong District. He left behind a wife, Jane Acola, and three children.
People from all walks of life have turned out in their thousands to give him a proper sendoff.
