Lira | Lawrence Emmy Egole, Lira Resident City Commissioner (RCC), spoke with tndNews shortly after President Museveni appointed him and a dozen others to manage the affairs of the country’s districts and cities.
On Monday, President Museveni exercised his constitutional authority to appoint Resident District Commissioners and their deputies, including Resident City Commissioners.

RCC Egole told tndNews: “This is the 4th reshuffle I’m withstanding as RCC Lira. It means a lot to me.”
He added, “I have always given myself to my job, I work for the people and with the people. I put the people I serve above self. I thank the appointing authority, HE the President, and the entire Presidency for the continous trust bestowed in me.”
When asked what the people of Lira City can expect from this “new term,” Egole responded, “I pledge to continue serving my country to the satisfaction of my appointing authorities and the people I directly serve.”
