Dokolo | The Chief Magistrate Court in Dokolo dismissed a defilement charge against Hot FM employee Alphones Odur Ojok, also known as Captain Fege-ege.
On June 26, 2024, a court ruled that Odur never had sex with a teenage girl, whose identity has been kept secret since the alleged crime.
Chief Magistrate Joe Fei Adoko gave four reasons why the case would be dismissed.
One, he stated that the hospital authorities had presented no evidence to show that Odur had sexual relations with the teenage girl.
The Magistrate also stated that the girl admitted to not having sex with Odur but was forced to do so by her father, Muge Tom.
Three, the schoolboys who were reported to have caught Odur with the girl denied seeing Odur that night as claimed.
He went on to say that the case before him indicated that Odur sexually abused the girl in December 2022, but the case was opened in 2023.
Magistrate Adoko described it as “false and fabricated”.
Odur, a free man now, was arrested last year in April and remanded in Koroto government prison for one month.
