Clan resolves witches leave Amolatar after 10 are arrested

Amolatar| Security at the Amolatar Central Police Station stormed Opali sub-county for the second time over witchcraft practices.

This comes after more than ten people were arrested in Opali sub-county, Amolatar district, last Friday.

Aloka Sam Sao, the clan chief of Opalamek, stated that the arrest began last Friday after the suspects were accused of witchcraft.

He stated that the ‘evil’ practice has long been affecting the community, particularly the Palamyek clan.

He also stated that “more arrests are still underway.”

“As clan members and a leader of Palamyek in Amolatar, the resolution is that most of them should leave the Opali sub-county.”

A police spokesperson could not be reached for comment during press time.
