BBC ranks Voice of Lango FM as the most popular radio station in Lango.

Lira | Voice of Lango (VOL FM) is the top most popular radio station in Lango sub-region, the BBC latest ranking shows.

According to the report (ranking), Voice of Lango FM is first with 19%. Unity FM comes in second at 14%, with Apac’s Divine FM in third at 10%.

“I am delighted to inform all of you that Voice of Lango FM has been ranked as the most popular radio station in mid-North (Lango sub-region) according to the latest survey report released by BBC Media Action,” the station manager, Elvis Levis Ajwika, said.

The BBC survey is titled ‘Uganda Media Landscape Report February 2024’.

“We welcome this report with a lot of excitement and humility but also commend our listeners and clients for the trust they have bestowed onto us for the years we have been in operation,” Ajwika added.

He confirmed that the BCC is one of the world’s most credible media institutions, and “we want to believe this report reflects people’s perceptions of us.”

It is a significant milestone and achievement for Voice of Lango FM, whose current frequency covers Oyam and parts of North-West Lango.

“We thank our able directors Hon Felix Okot Ogong and Teddy Okot for their strategic leadership and support. I believe VOL will continue to grow and become the best radio station in Northern and Eastern Uganda.

“We commit and pledge to continue to provide accurate, well sourced and balanced information to our listeners and provide a good business platform to our clients,” Ajwika concluded.
