IWPG Jeong-eup branch holds ‘Jeong-eup peace art festival’

Seoul I On December 11, 2023, the Jeong-eup Branch of the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) held the Jeong-eup Peace Art Festival at the Jeong-eup Arts Center.

The festival was attended by with dignitaries and members, starting with a video of IWPG Jeong-eup branch’s activities in 2023, followed by greetings from the branch president, congratulatory remarks, and a peace talk show.

The peace talk show featured a discussion on the topic of “Peace as I See It,” with Buddha Mu of Cheongryongsa Temple in Gochang, Kang Young-soo, Chairman of the Gochang Regional Tourism and Culture Council, Moon Sung-sook, Director of the Psychological Research Institute.

Others were Lee Soo-jeong, Regional Director of the Global Region 12, and participants’ questions and answers to further develop peace.

The second part of the performance featured a guitar performance by YaC Family’s Kim Do, a harmony chorus of YaEul and Yanong, a poem recitation by poet Seo HyeSook, a harmonica performance by Yahuang Exotic Flowers, and a flash mob by Ya’an Osubong.

Osubong performed a nostalgic seasonal song, “The World,” written by Kim Do. Members performed a flash mob to the song “A Beautiful World.

We also displayed the winners of the ‘5th International Peace and Love Painting Contest’ and promoted IWPG’s business at a glance, including photos of activities, history, and newsletters that show the footsteps of IWPG’s Jeong-eup chapter.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has worked with us over the past year,” said the IWPG.
