Lira, July 13, 2023: Education sector mogul, Geoffrey Odur has been named the new chairman of Excom of Lango Province ahead of the 2023 edition of FUFA Drum competitions.
Odur who owns Mentor senior secondary school with its branches spread in Lira city took over from Egole Lawrence, the Resident City Commissioner (RCC) of Lira.
The mogul took over after the ex-chairman and some members of Excom announced their resignations during a press briefing on June 22 2023.
“This time we are going to be the champion of FUFA Drum unlike when we used to smell the trophy,” said Odur ahead of the next chapter.
“I will be giving accountability in every step taken during my leadership as a chair,” he promised.
The wait is finally over as FUFA Drum returns this weekend. The 4th edition will bring back many memories of actions from last season – and seasons before.
