Lira, June 28, 2023: Regional league side She Scorpions Football Club has confirmed Sunday Opige Toxic as their new Head Coach.
Opige was unveiled on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the club’s office located on Oyam Road, Lira city. His arrival is in preparation for 2023/2024 season.
Sunday Toxic takes over from Hussen Mugoya who steered the club for a few months – starting from the beginning last season.
Opige who holds a ‘CAF D license’ is remembered for his successful moments at New Generation FC, Bweyale FC, Anyir-Ker Girls Soccer Sports Club in Gulu, and Gulu Queens Sports Club.
“This is home and it is where I’m meant to be,’’ excited Toxic said.
“I’m very glad to join the Stinging Queens and my objective, vision and ambition is to work hard for She Scorpions Sports Club to qualify for the next level of competition,” he added.
The club is expected to bring in new faces to prepare for what promises to be a good season ahead.
Regina Lalam, the president of She Scorpions FC, a month ago said the Club was established to gather young girls and women who are sports lovers.
The Football Club has 25 players between 15-28 years old.
