Lira, Dec.18, 2022: It’s going to be a northern affair as Lango Province secured their place in the final of the provincial tournament, FUFA Drum.
On Sunday, the Amuka boys beat Tooro Province 1:0 in the second leg of the semi-finals, flying to the finals 3:2 on aggregate.
In November, the two provinces treated their fans to a 2:2 scoreline in Fortfortal. December 18 was “a do or die” for both.
Lira Scoop shared this moment with our Sports Desk: “A 42-minute goal in the first half by Allan Okello earned from a penalty was enough for the Province to celebrate the progress.”
Okello plays for KCCA FC in the country’s top league, Uganda Premier League. He has shone at any football game.
“Lango will now face West Nile Province in the Final of 2022 FUFA Drum who managed to show an exit to the defending champions, Acholi Province,” Scoop added.

This is the second final that West Nile will be playing having reached the same level in the inaugural edition but lost to Buganda, the Lira City-based digital outlet can recall.
The date and venue for the 2022 finals will be communicated by FUFA.
