UPC’s Dr Eunice Otuko’s weekend campaign schedules

Oyam, June 24, 2023: Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party candidate for Oyam North MP by-election Dr Eunice Apio Otuko continues to woo county voters telling them her manifesto and that of the party. 

Dr Apio on her day two (Saturday, June 24) of the campaign received a very warm reception from the people of Acaba sub-county where she was canvassing for votes. 

She was flanked by the party Secretary General Ebil Fred, Regional Vice Chairperson of Lango Chris Ongom, and former LC5 Chairperson of Oyam Adea Nelson, among other leaders.

Dr Eunice has been interacting with the people of Oyam District in general and she is known for her remarkable community services, UPC head of media and communication, Muzeyi Faizo says.

Faizo says Apio’s closeness with the people of Oyam has “highly contributed to the household development of the people in the district”. 

“Based on that personal record and the party, the people of Oyam North see a great leader in her and we strongly believe that the electorates are determined to send Dr Eunice to Parliament on July 6, 2023, and benefit from her rich experience in communal services through the opportunities she will lobby and bring home.”

On June 24, Dr Apio and her team are in Ngai sub-county and tomorrow they will be in Abok sub-county. 

The UPC candidate is contesting with NRM’s Okello Samuel Engola, Fred Newton of FDC and Okello Daniel of NUP to replace Col. Rtd. Okello Engola Macodwogo who was killed on May 2, 2023.

The electoral commission (EC) has allocated July 6, 2023, for eligible voters in Oyam North to elect their new MP.
