Secrets between MP Achon and RDC Akullu’s confrontations have leaked, with all showing no signs of remorse, yet.

Otuke, August 24, 2022: Social media users and political pundits were left stunned three days ago when they woke up to a missive penned by Otuke East MP, Julius Achon with grave allegations against Otuke Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Gillian Akullu.
Much as some had their eyes glued on some of the grammatical errors in the strongly worded communiqué, and many couldn’t hide their waves of laughter, Achon who calls himself the “Boy who runs,” had 13 pregnant points for his RDC.
Among the allegations raised by the “Boy Who Runs” is that Gillian Akullu does not reside in Otuke where she is the Resident District Commissioner, secondly that Akullu recently permitted the destruction of a rice field which was alleged to be on a wetland.
“The boy who runs” further accused Akullu of demobilizing the National Resistance Movement party supporters and that she has totally ignored and disregarded the NRM structure in Otuke.
Achon says he was briefed by at least 10 NRM chairpersons at sub county levels in Otuke whom he further claimed had told him the RDC failed to convene meetings to resolve conflicting issues in the district and that she had declined to meet people whose shops are located on contested land at Orum health centre IV, among others.
RDC Akullu spills beans
The duo was on Wednesday morning interviewed on Radio Qfm 94.3 during a morning talk-back program to put their positions clear.
“Odong me NRM secretariat olwlonga me wot miyo lero ikom kopi, ento myero amii inge wunu ni tubere wa ni amede irwom amalu,” MP Achon said in the local dialect and part of his speech suggests that their feud could further escalate.
Maintaining his stance, Achon asserted that RDC Gillian Akullu as an appointee of the president should work within her job descriptions and stop meddling in the affairs of elected leaders.
He further accused Akullu of jeopardizing the work of Otuke Woman MP Susan Jolly Abeja although he did not substantiate.
Asked about threats of being dragged to court by the RDC, Achon responded “Someone who takes you to court is “after your life,” but also let her ask Omara Paul (Otuke County MP) what it means to drag someone to court,” Achon said.

“Let Achon know that I did not come to Otuke to hunt for a husband or to get married,” this was part of the statements issued by RDC Akullu to MP Achon.
Akullu told Qfm that she is not in any bad blood with the NRM leadership of Otuke because her appointing authority who is president Museveni is equally the National Chairman of the (NRM) party.
Instead, she accused Achon of fraudulently asking her to help a group of five people who campaigned for him in the last election to get compensation as people whose land will be affected by the construction of the Otuke-Abim-Kotido road.
She further claimed that Achon wants her to join his egocentric antagonism against the former woman MP of Otuke, Sylvia Akello and Otuke County MP, Paul Omara.
“Why is he following me and why does he want to know where I sleep, does he want to marry me?” RDC charged and also accused the MP of treating her like his personal assistant (PA) through constant phone calls to inquire about activities in the district.
