Dokolo – January 14, 2022: The Dokolo South MP, Felix Okot Ogong has survived a nasty road crash along the Lira-Soroti highway.
The MP was from his constituency, Acai Ferdinand, one of his Voice of Lango FM staff told TND News.
Okot and his driver, Okello Tonny Amin were rushed to Lira Medical Centre, Acai said, adding, “They seem not in bad state at Lira Medical Centre.”
Doctors are closely working on them.

The MP and his driver reportedly sustained minor bruises on the hands.
“Let’s hold Hon Okot-Ogong in prayers and wish him a speedy recovery,” former Speaker of Parliament and current First Deputy Prime Minister for East African Community Affairs, Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga said.
In less than one week, from Sunday, January, 9, Lango sub-region has recorded four road crashes. The Monday, January 10 crash is the most prominent: it left nine dead, seventeen hospitalised.
According to North Kyoga Police traffic data, eleven people have died due to separate road crashes in Lango in five days.
