Museveni is well – disregard ‘fake news’ – says spokeperson

Kampala – 27, June 2021: President Museveni Yoweri is well – according to his spokesperson, Linda Nabusayi Wamboka.

Her clarification follows social media reports Saturday night claiming the President developed breathing difficulties and had to be flown to Germany.

On Friday, Gen. Museveni, 77, addressed the nation during the 4th national prayers on Covid-19. The event took place at State House.

“@KagutaMuseveni is due to preside over a virtual World Health Summit today at Munyonyo. Please disregard claims by idle minds peddling this👇👇it’s #FakeNews @KennethOmona @OfwonoOpondo https://t.co/zGBzZ5m0sp,” Linda clarified on Twitter.

President Museveni has taken double Covid-19 jabs. He has been seen in public many times without any health problem.

“He has sneezed only twice in public,” we can remember.

Covid-19 has now killed more than 800 Ugandans – 60% or more of the deaths happening in “few weeks”.

Uganda is currently in lockdown for 42 days in a bid to control the spread of the virus.
