One of the fourteen Covid-19 patients has been discharged from the Gulu Regional Referral Hospital’s isolation ward after recovering from the pandemic.
Four more patients are waiting for their second tests confirmation [results] before they can also be discharged.
The function was presided over by the State Minister for Primary Health Care, Dr Joyce Moriku Kaducu, Gulu based senior journalist, Willy Chowoo reports.
Total number of Covid-19 patients discharged in Uganda stands at 65.
Eighty patients are still on admissions at different health facilities and isolations centres across the country.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health confirmed ten new cases of COVID-19.

Lira Regional Referral Hospital
TND News has learnt that eleven people are currently admitted at Lira Regional Referral Hospital isolation ward.
Dr Stephen Obbo, the administrative director, confirmed while speaking to a Lira based radio [FM] station.
According to Dr Obbo, Lira Regional Referral Hospital has a bed capacity of 21 earmarked for COVID-19 patients.
He’s quoted by a local radio that all the patients are in stable condition. The hospital boss is optimistic that some could be discharged in about three weeks’ time.
