Dokolo – The Dokolo district LC5 Chairperson, Mr Fredrick Dickens Odongo aka Kungfu Master is now a happy man, TND News has learnt.
Kungfu’s happiness comes after the district reclaimed his official car that was seized by Court Bailiffs, a year ago.
The vehicle, Toyota Pajero with registration number LG 0018-028 was impounded by Court bailiffs and Police over a debt, amounting to more than shillings 400 million.

According to bailiffs, the district had failed to pay Mr Kawa Lolo Abura, a former Principal Personnel Officer, shillings 400 million in compensation and general damages as ordered by Lira High Court.
Mr Lolo dragged Dokolo district [the then employer] to Court for laying him off without ‘following rightful and legal procedures’. Lolo’s work termination took place in 2013.

The Chief Administrative Officer [CAO] Dokolo, Mr Issa Mbooge in an interview with northern Uganda’s first digital newspaper said they recovered the vehicle after paying more than shillings 200 million out of shillings 400 million Lira High Court awarded to Alex Lolo Abura.
Speaking to TND News, CAO Mbooge added, “The return of the vehicle will enable the district Chairman to effectively perform his duties.”
The district chair also said, “As a district, we will ensure that the debt [remaining balance] is cleared.”
Mr Odongo applauded the Dokolo residents for their prayers which enabled them get back the vehicle, emphasizing, “It will now ease my work.”
