Bunyoro: Bobi Wine rewards youth once arrested for leading protest

Announcing officially his new coordination team to mobilise political support a head of 2021 polls at his Magere home on Wednesday, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu – Bobi Wine rewarded those who stood with him

Among his team – youth took bigger shares and some are showing commitment to do the tasks a head of them.

One of the youths, Livingstone Akugizibwe – a district councillor representing Ndaiga sub-county in Kagadi district is committed.

Talking to TND News Thursday, Akugizibwe says “I was once arrested, remanded to Kagadi district prison for leading a demonstration of free Bobi Wine”.

“I’m glad I have been selected as a coordinator together with Tinkasimire Barnabas as our leader. We are going to carryout massive recruitment of district, constituency coordinators who will later on recruit subcounty, parish and village coordinators to carry out serious mobilization,” he added.

“Bobi Wine is a self made leader who is an inspiration to so many young people”.

“As Bunyoro we have no tangible benefit we can show for having supported Museveni for last 35 years,” he comfortably said.

According to him, this is the time Bunyoro came out to seriously tell Museveni enough is enough.

“Poverty is stinking in entire Bunyoro where households only afford a single meal.”

Since Museveni has not appreciated the support we’ve given him for last 35 years, the youthful leader says, “let’s rally behind someone who will consider Bunyoro from the beginning”.

“Youth have been left out only to be fed on peanuts from the junta old folks. We are going to have a launch of People Power Bunyoro executives very soon which will compose of 60 coordinators whose role will be to recruit sub-county, parish and village coordinators.”
