Founder of Lira prominent Prime Internet Café passes on

Lira – Death has robbed Lango sub-region of her innovative, creative entrepreneur and daughter – Sylvia Alele.

Sylvia passed on Tuesday afternoon from Lira Regional Referral Hospital after battling with cancer for a very short time, family members say.

Married to James Alele who lives in United Kingdom’s city of London – in few months after their vows, she started feeling unwell, another family member who spoke to our reporter added.

Sylvia was one of the known female entrepreneurs in Lira town and one of her efforts in ‘communications industry’ saw dozens of people flocking Prime Internet Café located on Kwania road, opposite Rock of Ages in Lira town.

Besides internet, the Café has all secretarial services and her office, for years was a one stop shop for pure and quality honey.

The deceased was also one of the founder members of an indigenous CBO – Obaya Community Association [OCA] who later changed its name, nearly five years ago.

The CBO then was promoting bee farming and honey production across Lango sub-region.

Alice’s father is the former Moroto County MP, Hon. Alex Okot.
