Good Luck bus from Kampala to Lira got an accident at Pida-amola trading centre in Kole district on Friday night.
According to eye witnesses and passengers, it happened at around 11:20pm.
The accident occurred when a drunkard crossed the highway riding his motor bike.
The bus driver’s effort to dodge him [identity not ready by press time] and save his life became fruitless, he got crushed to death.
A bus whose registration number is UAL 182A later veered off the road, before hitting a tree and a house.
No passengers died except few who obtained minor injuries.
By press time, attempts to reach North Kyoga Region Police spokesperson, David Ongom Mudong for comment were unsuccessful.
Three months ago, Gaagaa bus from Lira to Kampala with more than twenty passengers on board had a grave accident at Nanda, Kiryandongo district.
In that Gaagaa bus accident, 23 people died with many getting serious injuries.
To date, some are still at different hospitals in Kampala fighting for their lives.
