Activist, Dr. Stella Nyanzi, a critic of those [and institutions] she observes as bad to her and other populace is unconscious. She’s currently at Naguru hospital in Kampala.
On Monday, she went to Kampala Central Police Station to check on two students, Musiri David and Derrick Obedgui all of Makerere University.
The two were arrested within Parliament building for protesting the now active social media and mobile money taxes imposed by government.
For anybody to be able to use Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, among others, user ought to pay via Mobile Money shs.200 [daily], shs.1, 400 [weekly] or shs.6, 000 [monthly].
Dr. Nyanzi with other activists including United States of America Ambassador to Uganda, Deborah R. Malac participated vigorously on Sunday in a peaceful demo in Kampala to show solidarity to women who have been kidnapped and murdered in the country.
Stella Nyanzi is also an academic and former Research Fellow who worked with Makerere University Institute of Social Research [MUISR] before she was suspended on many claims by her employer.
