An elephant has been killed in a road accident at Diima trading centre, Kiryandongo district on Gulu-Kampala highway.
The accident happened Sunday evening. According to sources, the elephant didn’t die immediately but passed-on on Monday morning.
It was knocked dead by Pan African truck. Driver and one other are reported to have died on spot.
This is the fifth road accident to have happened along Gulu-Kampala highway in less than three weeks, although the latest incident involved an animal.
