On Wednesday, July 6, Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) welcomed the move taken by the government to dialogue with teachers through their umbrella, the Uganda National Teachers Union (UNATU).
UPC also said it has learned that the government has invited the Uganda National Teachers Union (UNATU) for further talks as far as the industrial action of teachers is concerned.
UPC said picking of nomination forms for aspirants to participate in the EALA Parliament has been opened.
UPC is calling for a routine inspection of electrical installations.
UPC also urges the government to revert to the usage of railway and water transport in the importation of fuel supplies.
UPC former MP says Parliament is not a democratic institution, as they say. “Parliament is an arm of government. It operates with other actors in the premises of democracy.”
