Adjumani: vulnerable refugees to get free education

Maureen Komaa, a resident of Pakele town council in Adjumani said she is excited with the ambulance as it will help in the referral of pregnant mothers to the hospital and referrals to other health facilities outside the district.

Uganda first implemented IRS in Kigezi in the 60s and early ’70s in an attempt to eliminate malaria. It was reintroduced in Kigezi again in 2006, moved to Acholi and parts of Lango in 2009, and later to Eastern Uganda in 2014.
According to new figures out in September, UNHCR provided mental health and psychosocial support services to over 472,000 refugees, asylum-seekers, and their families and caregivers in the first half of 2022.
