Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, continues to spark debate, especially over his interest in the presidency.
Muhoozi, son of President Yoweri Museveni, 82, has used social media platforms like X in recent years to issue warnings, threats, and messages to his followers.
With his eyes set on replacing his father, who has ruled since 1986, Muhoozi seems to be getting closer to becoming the country’s number two.
As per the Ugandan Constitution, the Vice President is second after the President, followed by the Speaker of Parliament.
In his latest post on X, Muhoozi has cryptically sent a message to “a young woman called Jessica”, who has been “warming his seat.”
