Ugandan media personality Edwin Katamba, popularly known as MC Kats, has issued a strong warning to socialite and media personality Sheilah Gashumba, cautioning her against continuing her attacks on Pastor Robert Kayanja and blogger Frank Ntambi. Kats, who has previously worked with Sheilah, joined the growing public debate surrounding the dispute, suggesting that the confrontation could take an uncomfortable turn if it continues.
His remarks have attracted attention because of the direct language he used while responding to Sheilah’s social media activity. In a post on social media, MC Kats warned Sheilah against provoking people, suggesting that she should be careful about the direction the dispute was taking. “You have your dirty closet don’t provoke us too we have given you enough time,” Kats wrote. He went on to caution her against presenting herself as morally superior to others, adding, “Don’t act to holy my sister.”
His comments appeared to suggest that continuing the confrontation could lead to more personal revelations, although he did not provide specific details to support the warning. The dispute comes amid controversy surrounding comments made by Sheilah’s father, Frank Gashumba, about pastors he considers fake and the existence of miracles in religious circles.

His remarks triggered reactions from individuals associated with the religious community, with Pastor Kayanja and his son, Kayanja Junior, also weighing in on the debate. The exchange has since attracted attention online, drawing in public figures and commentators with differing views on the matter.Blogger and YouTuber Frank Ntambi also entered the controversy after defending the Kayanja family.
His response reportedly prompted Sheilah to turn her attention towards him, accusing him of receiving money from the pastor to carry out public relations work on his behalf. The allegation added another layer to the disagreement, shifting the discussion beyond religious leadership to questions about the motives of people speaking publicly in defence of those involved.MC Kats subsequently cautioned Sheilah against escalating her disagreement with Ntambi and the Kayanjas. By referring to her alleged “dirty closet,” he appeared to imply that other people could respond by bringing up aspects of her past if the exchanges continued.
However, Kats did not publicly identify the specific matters he was referring to, and his remarks should not be taken as proof of any wrongdoing by Sheilah. The warning has also drawn attention because MC Kats and Sheilah have had disagreements in the past. The two media personalities previously exchanged accusations during a public fallout that attracted considerable attention on social media.
Their history makes Kats’ latest comments particularly notable, as his intervention comes at a time when Sheilah is already involved in a separate public dispute with people defending Pastor Kayanja. The latest exchange highlights how disagreements among Uganda’s public figures can quickly grow into wider online confrontations involving family members, religious leaders, bloggers and media personalities.
While some participants have defended their positions publicly, others have urged caution as the debate becomes increasingly personal. The accusations about paid public relations work and the warnings about alleged private matters remain claims made during the dispute rather than established facts.
For now, MC Kats’ message to Sheilah is clear: he believes she should avoid provoking others and allow the confrontation to stop before it becomes more personal. Whether Sheilah will respond to his warning or continue defending her position remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding Pastor Kayanja, Frank Ntambi and the Gashumba family continues to generate discussion, with social media users watching to see whether the parties will de-escalate the dispute or exchange further accusations.
