Eng Jonard Asiimwe Akiiki, Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, has called on the Hoima City technocrats to improve service delivery.

He has threatened to inspect and probe the cause of poor service delivery in the city.

Asiimwe, who also doubles as National Resistance Movement (NRM) party chairperson for Hoima City and NRM Vice Chairperson Western Region, noted that there is a poor state of service delivery.

Asiimwe cited poor service delivery in Hoima City, with more concerns on road networks, health and education sectors, among others.

He, however, blamed the state of services on the technical team of the city, who do not effectively execute their roles of ensuring better service delivery to common wananchi.

It is out of this background that he called on the city’s technical team to ensure improved service delivery in the city, giving an unspecified time frame to inspect the state of service delivery in the city.

“Hoima ciCitys my city where I serve as the NRM party chairperson. I have moved around the entire city premises and realised ala lotf poor service delivery, with molot of mess on roads, health and education sectors.

“Therefore, to assure all the Hoima City technical team of an untimely monitoring exercise which will leave no one in office untouched for failing to implement and ensure good service delivery in the city,” he said.

“…the technical team, I urge you to ensure that everything is put in the right order before I could step in.”

Speaking about the cooperative, he revealed that the initiative started in 2016 t,argeting to benefit 20,000 women by promoting financial inclusion across the region.

Rebecca Ahuura, the vice hachairpersonf JWESCO h,as appealed to women to embrace savings but also be transparent.

Mama Peace Kyamanywa, one of the motivational speakers has cautioned women against the begging syndrome.

Geoffrey Beraheru, another motivational speaker, has encouraged members to aim at growing the Cooperative.
