Speaking on Monday afternoon to tndNews, Uganda, Chief Administrative Officer of Dokolo, Granfil Oryondo Omonda said they have transferred 11 head teachers and 121 teachers to different government primary schools across the district.
The transfers, CAO stated, will boost the learning of pupils in the district.
Among the transferred head teachers are Yeko Enyang from Adwila Modern Primary School to Koroto as caretaker headteacher, Ruth Apio from Koroto Primary School to Aderolongo Primary School, and John Bosco Odung from Amonoloco to Bata.
Others are Anthony Okwir from Bata to Amonoloco, Richard Ogwang from Kachung to Hassa Memorial, and Boniface Opio from Hassa Memorial to Kachung.
Jennet Awino from Angai to Anwangi, Immaculate M Tino from Adagnyeko to Ageni; Patrick Okello from Ageni to Adagnyeko, Darius Job Otule from Anwangi to Adwila Modern and Julius Peter Alele from Aderolongo to Angai, respectively.
CAO Omonda emphasised that changes are to improve service delivery to intended beneficiaries.
Some teachers and head teachers, he said, have been transferred due to different challenges such as long distance from their native home, sickness, others are at retirement stages which need family attention, and others have bad relationships with the communities which can affect service delivery.
He further cautioned the school authorities and community for rejecting any teacher sent to them because they are duly appointed by the District Service Commission.
The CAO also appealed to all the transferred head teachers to prepare their accountability and hand over reports on Feb 4, 2026, at their different schools.
The Ministry of Education and Sports has announced February 10 as the official date for the start of term one for schools in the country.
