Kole | The second day of police recruitment in North Kyoga Region concluded in Kole district, with 189 of the 195 shortlisted candidates completing the screening process.
Six applicants were unable to be screened and thus missed out on the opportunity due to various circumstances.
SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, PRO of North Kyoga Region informed journalists that the interviews were conducted by ACP Sserunjogi Eddie.
He noted that the recruitment process proceeded smoothly, despite six candidates sharing identical names, which were distinguished using their National Identification Numbers (NINs).
Additionally, two candidates failed to bring the necessary documents, and one candidate, identified as Oduka Oscar, was disqualified due to intoxication.
Before the interviews commenced at 8am, ACP Sserunjogi Eddie, along with his deputy SSP Doka Rashid, briefed the candidates, with the RDC of Kole district, Josephine Omara Olili.
The RDC commended the team for their efforts and encouraged the candidates to maintain discipline, as the police force has evolved into a professional institution.
She emphasized the importance of time management during training and advised female candidates to take precautions against pregnancy.

ACP Sserunjogi thanked the candidates for their interest in joining the Uganda Police Force, and congratulated them on being shortlisted.
He went on to explain the recruitment process, which included document verification, registration, physical fitness tests, written exams, medical exams, and oral interviews.
The team leader also cautioned candidates about unscrupulous individuals who might solicit money for assistance.
